CWS Blankets: Be Like Nora

CWS Blankets: Be Like Nora

My name is Nora McNiff, and I am seven. One year I asked my granddaughter, who was
four at the time, Nora, if she would like to be involved in the mission. We came up with the idea that we would make
little tiny blankets and greet people in the morning as they came into church and give
them each a little blanket and remind them that next week is Blanket Sunday. Nora has a servant heart, and she is willing
to do anything you ask her. It just seemed like a great mission that people
could understand. They could see it, it was a very tangible
thing to know how a blanket could be used in countries where there are so many needs. For a mere few dollars, you can buy that for
a family and change their life. If we can reach out and help, whether it’s
your neighbor next door or your neighbor across the world, it just seems that’s what we’re
commissioned to do, and I feel very satisfied that I’m pleasing the Lord with this type
of mission involving my granddaughter and my whole family in something like this. It’s really fun…for me.
