Hi I’m Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com Today I’ll show you how to make this easy shell stitch. To begin chain 37 or any multiple of six
plus one. Skip the first three chains and make three double crochet stitches in
the fourth chain from the hook. Two… And three. Skip two chains and in the next chain make a single crochet. Skip two chains and make five double
crochet stitches all in the next chain. One Two Three Four And five. Skip two chains
and make a single crochet stitch. Skip two chains and make five double
crochet stitches in the next chain. We’re going to continue this pattern across
the row of the five double crochet skip two single crochet skip two and do the
five double crochet again. It forms a nice shell as you can see. For
Row two, chain three. Make three double crochet in the first
single crochet. In the third double crochet of the shell
make a single crochet. In the previous single crochet make five
double crochet stitches. By the way Row two will be repeated for every row going
forward. Three Four And five. And single crochet in the middle of the shell. Do the five double crochet again. One, two, three, four, and five. At the end begin a single crochet in the
top of the chain three. And switch colors if you want. Chain three, and turn. As mentioned before just repeat Row two again. Three double crochet in the single crochet. Then single crochet in the center of the
shell. Then in the single crochet make five double crochet stitches. One, Two Three, four, and five. And single crochet
in the middle of the shell. Continue repeating Row 2 for as many
rows as you wish. And that’s the easy shell stitch.
