DIY (Faux) Leather Tassels Use real or faux leather Cut a rectangle 3 by12 inches (10 by 30.5 cm) This will make a 3 inch (7.5 cm) tassel Mark 1 inch (2.5cm) from top Draw lines 1/4 inch apart (6mm) Or you can just freestyle your cutting Cut strips but don’t cut into the header Cut off the end tassel If you are going to attach the tassel to a zipper head – thread the strip through the hole and glue the ends. If you are going to add the tassel at the end of your project using a ring – fold the strip in half and glue the ends Glue the strip at the end If using a zipper then glue that strip to the end Add glue and start rolling tightly Cut the end when you are happy with the thickness. You might not need the whole strip. You can also add extra. Glue the end and hold.
